Motorola PMNN4494 5100mAh Lithium Battery
Motorola PMNN4494A (aka PMNN4494) is a genuine Motorola replacement battery for the APX6000, APX7000, and APX8000 two-way radios. With built-in IMPRES-2 technology, this battery reports it's health back to the radio and charger (with IMPRES-compatible charger). The PMNN4494A is IP68 and fully submersible (on a IP68 compatible radio). Finally, the PMNN4494A has 5100 mAh capacity and can power an APX6000, APX7000, and APX8000 two-way radio for up to 24 hours.
IMPRES 2 Technology
IMPRES 2 is the 2nd generation of smart-battery technology. The Motorola PMNN4494A (aka PMNN4494) has built-in IMPRES 2 technology. PMNN4494A is also backwards compatible and will work in any IMPRES version 1 charger.

High Capacity
Motorola PMNN4494 has is the highest capacity battery available or the APX 6000, APX 7000 and APX 9000 two-way radios. PMNN4494A will allow your APX two-way radio to operate without charging for up to 24 hours.
Alternatives
Genuine Alternatives: There are two lower capacity for genuine alternatives. Motorola PMNN4485 is 2250mAh, giving up to 12 hours or use. Motorola PMNN4486 is 3400mAh, giving up to 18 hours of use. There is also an aftermarket alternative to this battery - see below.
Aftermarket Alternatives: Our Radiotronics PM4487LIPIC battery is a PolyMax (lithium-polymer) 4900mAh and can give up to 20 hours of use. Lithium-polymer has some advantages over traditional lithium-ion, including longer run-time per charge; and up to up to 500 charge cycles (compared to 300-400 charge cycles with lithium-ion). The PM4487LIPIC battery is also IMPRES v1 and v1 compatible, so is a true alternative to PMNN4494.
Charger Options
The PMNN4494 can be charged in any APX6,7,8 compatible charger. However, Motorola Solutions recommends IMPRES. Motorola PMNN4494 is IMPRES v2 compatible for use with the Motorola NNTN8860 single charger or Motorola NNTN8844 6-way IMPRES 2 charger. We also have a non-IMPRES aftermarket Motorola APX 6-way charger and non-IMPRES 12-way Motorola APX charger.
