Blackbox Original VHF Radio
The Blackbox is an analog two-way radio from the company Blackbox. Named the Original due to this being the first radio from the company, although now discontinued this was an extremely user-intuitive radio that was an ideal solution for many work environments. This is the VHF version of the Original radio although it is also available as a UHF radio.
16 Channels allow for sufficient communications between a small to medium sized team whilst a scanning channel ensures that no transmissions are missed. When selected the scan channel will continuously skip through channels on the lookout for ongoing transmissions, once one has been found the radio will stop to listen in and then continue once the transmission has finished. Other features that the Blackbox has includes a time-out-timer that ensures channels can't be locked, a pre-programmed time limit stops transmissions to help make communications short or to avoid accidental PTT presses making nuisance calls. A monitor channel allows for a second channel to be listened in to whilst transmitting and listening to another, this is an ideal solution should you require a safety announcement channel.
The Blackbox is a compact radio standing at just 4.25" in height, 2.1" in width and 1.5" in depth whilst weighing only 9.6 oz. Supplied as standard with a NiMH rechargeable battery pack (5-6 Hour Battery Life), 12-hour drop-in charger, belt clip and a carry strap.
