BlackBox Bantam In More Detail
Top Panel
On the top panel, the Bantam has a volume control with an on/off switch. Next to the volume control is a channel selector with 16 positions where each position represents a channel that is fully programmable in the FREE programming software (programming cable not included and sold separately). Next to that there's an antenna socket which is there you screw in the supplied antenna. Finally, towards the front of the top panel is a programmable orange or yellow (depends on batch) button that can be programmed to any of the programmable button features (see programmable button features below).
Bantam Left Side
Moving down the left side of the Bantam two way radio, you'll find the push to talk (also known as PTT) and two more programmable buttons which, like the top button, can be programmed to any of the programmable button features (see programmable button features below). The PTT button is easily identifiable and can easily be found in the dark as it's larger than the other buttons, is textured.
Right Side (Accessory Connector)
Looking to the right side is the accessory connector. The Bantam is available with either a Kenwood K1 (2-pin) connector or with a Motorola M1 connector. Both connectors are 2-pin and it's sometimes hard to tell the difference. But there is an easy way. There are 2 pins (holes), with one pin (hole) being smaller than the other. If the top pin (hole) is smaller it's the Kenwood connector and if the bottom pin (hole) is smaller is the Motorola connector.
Note: If you already own some Blackbox Bantam radios, it's important that you stick with the same frequency band (VHF or UHF) and the same connector (Kenwood K1 or Motorola M1).
Back Panel
On the back of the Bantam radio is the battery connector. Here you will also find where the supplied belt clip attaches using two screws.
Multi-Charger Options
The BlackBox Bantam is supplied with a lithium battery and a single charger. A single charger is great if you only have a handful of radios. However, most businesses like to book radios in and out to keep track of them and charge them in one location. Our amazing 6 and 12-position chargers are ideal for this. We have 2 multi-charger options.

- 12-Way BlackBox Bantam Charger
